Free VA CDL Tanker Vehicles Practice Test 2024

In Virginia, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) issues the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and its associated endorsements. Anyone who wants to become a tanker driver in the Old Dominion must obtain a Tank Vehicles (N) endorsement before they can haul food-grade liquids, potable water and even milk in vehicles designed to transport liquids or gases in a tank or tanks with an individual rated capacity of more than 119 gallons and a combined total capacity of 1,000 gallons or more.

Driving from the Blue Ridge Mountains all the way to Richmond is a scenic journey that takes you from the winding mountain roads to the bustling highways in one of the state’s largest cities. As a professional tanker driver, you must fully master the controls of your vehicle, which are significantly impacted by liquid surge.

The official 2024 CDL manual (Virginia CDL Handbook 2024) contains useful information on tanker trucks and other areas of commercial driving, making it an essential resource for anyone who is pursuing a career in this field. However, determined students choose to expand their horizons and explore other materials that are often easier to study. Use our Virginia CDL Tanker Vehicles Endorsement practice tests to evaluate your knowledge before showing up at the DMV location to take the official exam. While you can’t predict the exact questions you’ll receive on that day, these practice tests help you prepare in advance. Updated for December 2024, each practice test consists of 20 questions based on the CDL manual.

We have introduced several features that you can use during your training sessions, including a voice-over function. Once activated, an artificial voice will read aloud each question and its corresponding answer choices. If you find the text to be too small, you can also adjust its size by using the slider on the left side of the screen.

There are no shortcuts to becoming a successful tanker driver in Virginia, but our helpful tool can accelerate this process by significantly boosting your learning journey.
